New year, new me?

The start of the new year is time for some people to make some resolutions for being a better self in the next year. I think it is a nice thing, starting a year with “tabula rasa”, but we should always consider who we are, because to be honest, you will never change completely in one night. So instead of making resolutions, I like to set up goals for myself and paths.

I think I am on my way to be the person I want to be and live my life as I think I supposed to. Of course there are certain things I want to do more or better, so let’s see!

  • I want to read more
This is the most important to me, I used to read a lot when I was a kid, and when I say a lot, I really mean it, sometimes several books in one week. Now I read as a grown-up as well, but mostly for my studies, as I am studying English – though I don’t read enough for my general knowledge and for fun. My goal is to read a book in every month. (Currently I am reading The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, I hope I can finish it in January despite having exams.)
  • Eat more healthier
This one won’t be a problem, I think my eating habits are quite healthy, but you can always improve them, dont’t you? By the way a post of how I like to cook is coming up this month.
  • Start some excercise
But for real now. I walk from my flat to uni, that’s a start, but since I quitted dancing I haven’t done anything for my fittness. I really want to start joga, I just need to find some joga place in my city.
  • Write this blog
They say that if you want to be creative, you must create. Following these thoughts I feel I must write more here, one, because I like it, two, I really feel more creative after putting something more valuable on the internet than twitter rambling. On that note…
  • Less social media
Being a social media addict I think I don’t need to explain this.

What do you want to do differently this year?
